The elastic is somewhat tight, but will probably stretch out with wear.Thanks to everyone and amazon for guiding me to a purchase that was one size larger than I would normally wear. They are still a little bit narrow but I have a wide foot. I love the shoes. They are uniquely fashioned and beautifully made. Their geometric pattern actually goes quite nicely with a variety of the expensive Fendi bags. LOVE THESE SHOES.Onex shoes run small. I wear a size 8 1/2, but always order a size 9 and they are fine. Love the shoes! I have four pair in different styles and love all of them. They are very comfortable for all day wear. They are more for dress shoes rather than arch supported walking shoes, but are comfortable for walking.Onex is, consistently, a comfortable dress shoe. I have been buying Onex for years....my "go-to" for going out.my shoe size is women's 10 med but (consistently) in Onex...I must go up a size and the 11 fit as expected (like a size 10)I wish makers of onex would change how they size to meet standards...not sure why they have not thought about doing so.I love these shoes!
